The 2024 Easter Family gathering is happening!! It is a collaboration between Silver Wattle and the AYM Children & JYF Committee, and we are looking forward to welcoming children, JYFs and the families.

Registration is open between 21 Feb and 4 March, so get in quick! The program is being organised by Yarrow Goodley, around the theme of collective climate activism, with activities running on Saturday and Sunday. We will be engaging with permaculture, upcycling, non-violent direct action, and climate mitigation, in ways that we aim to be fun and hope-generating.

Joy (below) and all the other chooks look forward to having you here as we learn, play, worship and work together. With time for planting and tree care, working in the orchard, hanging out, eating and of course, an Easter Egg Hunt, this year’s EFG program is action packed.

We are prioritising families with Junior Young Friends and older primary-aged children this year, and so we will aim to fill available spaces with those children first, and then open it up to others if there is still availability. The cost for accompanying adults will be $50 dollars per night (subsidised by Silver Wattle), and the children and young people will be fully-funded by the CJYF Committee. We will open the registration for a two-week period initially, and then look at whether we need to open it up further after an initial allocation of places.
