Silver Wattle at the Bungendore Show

On Sunday, 29th January, 2017 the Bungendore Show was held.

Ruth, our Cook, was the organiser of the Pavilion and successfully entered many of the produce competitions with her jams, home brews and other produce.

Shirin, our Farm Manager thought we should enter some of our harvested black potatoes in two sections - the three coloured potatoes section and Bungendore's Ugliest Vegetable competition. We gained a third place in the three coloured potatoes, and second in Bungendore's Ugliest Vegetable competition, entered on our behalf by Layla, Ruth's daughter.

Out in the field, the Tracy Bourne, our previous Director's family - Miles, Emily, Rosie and Andy, competed in the egg throwing competition.

Susan exhibited photographs in a solo display titled "Lake's Progress: Weereewa, views from Silver Wattle Point 2016, which gathered a lot of interest from show attenders, many of whom remember Silver Wattle from their youth. Silver Wattle has a unique view of Weereewa, one of the few houses on Lake Road with direct access to the lake.
